Contrary to popular belief, not all of us vegetarians are the stereotypical eight p.m. something blonde athletes to take yoga classes and go for early morning jogs. We do not all have strict diets and count every calorie we come into contact. We crave sweets and candies to do just like everybody else. We are human afterall!
When I began my journey, which I assumed would fall vegetarians believe that the few extra pounds I had gained during the birth. Unfortunately, this was not theCase!
Believe it or not, I actually increased over the first few months! I had stopped watching what I eat and it was assumed that mine were less fattening meals without meat. Only when I saw my heart-rending "fat picture" from my sisters wedding that I knew it was time to change something.
I joined a gym that I was rarely asked a personal trainer, which I did not call you back and emptied my wallet on diets. I lost the battle of the bulge!
Now I was on myDilemma, with one of the ladies in my Vegetarian Society Club. The conversation started joking with me warning you "when you're my age, your body catch up with you" etc. I was shocked when she pulled out a photo from her purse her look at LEAST 40lbs heavier!
The animal (pardon the metaphor) in the photo does not even slightly resemble the trim, fit-looking woman standing in front of me! She told me her secrets, and (now 30kg lighter, I might add) I too carry my fatPhoto around as proof that I am not always in the best shape of my life!
